Overview of the firm
We are THE ENGINEERING BEHIND ENTERTAINMENT® Clark Reder Engineering, Inc., founded in 2009 by Daniel Clark and Jeffrey Reder, is a full-service consulting structural engineering firm. Upon Daniel’s retirement in early 2024, Jeff took over as sole Principal & Owner of CRE. We are qualified to promptly handle any structural engineering challenge and pride ourselves on the understanding of how entertainment structures are built and used. Our knowledge of designing economical and realistic permanent and temporary entertainment structures has placed us on the top of the entertainment engineering business.
Clark Reder Engineering also provides comprehensive engineering and design services for architects and general contractors. Our engineers have practical experience in the structural design of various building types utilizing all the common construction materials and methods. Our design experience includes conventional structural systems utilizing conventional wood framing, steel framing, reinforced concrete, unreinforced masonry, reinforced masonry, composite steel framing, and pre-stressed and post-tensioned concrete construction. The firm’s knowledge of building codes, construction materials, and conventional structural systems provides the appropriate solution for every project.
Clark Reder Engineering has a staff of eighteen structural engineers, one mechanical engineer, and two drafting technicians. We have at least one engineer registered in all 50 states and the District of Columbia; Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, and Ontario, Canada; Puerto Rico; and Guam. We work together to develop construction documents that are clear and understandable, independent of the complexity of the project. We strive for simplicity in our designs, and that follows through to our construction documents.
Collectively, the Clark Reder Team of engineers and technicians has nearly a century of structural design experience in new building design, building renovations, and construction services across the country. This depth of experience gives us a comprehensive understanding of current building code requirements used throughout the United States.
